The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Dies in a California Traffic Collision

Vince Zampella, who helped create the immensely successful first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in Los Angeles, California aged 55.

Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the development studio which he helped establish.

The renowned video game developer died after his car crashed and was engulfed in flames on a motorway in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, as reported by.

"This is a devastating loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's family, his loved ones, and the countless individuals inspired by his legacy," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts said.
