The City of Angels witnessed widespread festivities after the Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-match World Series championship. Fans worldwide joined local residents in jubilation, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a team has achieved consecutive championships.

Celebration Parade Draws Enormous Crowds

Local celebrations featured a downtown parade on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and spontaneous parties across the city.

Online footage depict countless of Angelenos flooding city center avenues, many displaying homemade signs and team flags. The team was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the masses, hoisting the Commissioner’s trophy high.

“I’m already thinking about the next championship we’re going to achieve this,” Shohei Ohtani stated through an interpreter.

The procession path concluded at the stadium, where the team emerged to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ providing music and Ice Cube cruising a Pacific blue classic car around the field.

Pre-Parade Festivities and Player Reactions

Festivities started well before the parade, with Dodgers fans setting off flares in the roads of Downtown Los Angeles on Sunday night.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto, awarded the MVP of the championship, spoke plainly about the victory.

“We refuse to lose,” he stated. “I adore this team. I love Los Angeles.”

Varied Responses and City Unity

However, Mark Walter received a less warm welcome at the rally. Recordings from the event seem to depict him taking the stage to a mix of applause and boos, with negative shouts interrupting his address.

The championship acted as a bright spot in what has been a trying year for the city. An estimated 225,000 people showed up to the championship parade last year, and according to Dodgers player Freddie Freeman, supporters this year showed as much if not more enthusiasm.

“I feel like it’s nearly twice from last year,” Freeman remarked. “These fans are crazy. It’s so awesome to be a part of this.”
