Football Analyst Sutton Battles Singer Olly Murs in Premier League Predictions
Arsenal's ten-match winning streak was ended by Sunderland prior to the global break, but can the Premier League leaders recover against local foes Spurs this Sunday?
"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," remarked soccer specialist Chris Sutton.
"Frank will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still find a way to win."
Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, against artificial intelligence, readers and a variety of special visitors.
For week 12, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.
The singer's latest album, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.
Soccer and Parenting Life
Murs is a talented soccer player as well as a successful artist and has been a star of several Soccer Aid matches down the years - but he is not planning a professional comeback as a player.
"{I actually played in a benefit game the other night for a mate of mine," he said. "My side was losing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!
"I still love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it properly again.
"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my child or boy chooses to play instead."
Murs and his spouse Amelia Tank have a young family, their daughter and Albert, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their manager.
"I will not push football on our kids but I've already told Amelia that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be coaching their Saturday football team," he added.
"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly owned a soccer team for a while too.
"My father coached with us when I was a child, which is likely where I inherited it. He managed our side for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Top Division Predictions
Weekend, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
The Blues might have to be patient for Cole Palmer's return from injury but their offense is now stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.
In my opinion this game will be quite tight, however. The Clarets are disciplined and their only home losses so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.
This smells of a one-all tie to me, but I am actually going to choose the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third league win in a row.
The expert's prediction: 1-2
The singer's prediction: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have been defeated in their past two games - although both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.
In contrast, West Ham won two in a row before the international break and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they do look strong again.
West Ham's sole away win this campaign came at Forest in August, when their manager Nuno was previously that team's manager.
So, what on earth do I go with here - can the Hammers extending their run under Nuno, or Bournemouth bouncing back?
I am going to go with the Cherries, because I believe what happened against Villa was a blip.
The pundit's prediction: 2-0
Olly's outlook: The home team are doing well but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2
The algorithm's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were seen as one of the favourites for the drop before the campaign started, but they have impressed a few observers under their manager and are in fine fettle with three wins in their past four matches.
My son told me to select Brentford forward Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.
Thiago will likely score again on Saturday but I am still not going to select him or back the away side at Amex Stadium.
The Bees have not had much success on the road this season, and the Seagulls are consistently decent at their stadium. Brentford will attempt to attack on the counter-attack but I think the home manager's side carry much more of a threat.
Sutton's forecast: 2-1
Olly's prediction: This could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a lot of scores but it actually turns out to be rather tight. 1-1
AI's prediction: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
It is a massive game for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six matches.
Fulham have got lots of talent in their team but it still feels like they could be sucked into a drop zone fight.
Regarding the Black Cats, well they are the unexpected success of the Premier League campaign so far.
Their display in the 2-2 draw with the Gunners last time out was superb. We've not seen anyone else rough up the North London side like that this season, and they were more than a match for them.
The sensible thing to do to support the visitors here, because they are obviously capable of disrupting Fulham up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they defeated Chelsea at the end of last month.
However I am not going to choose that. Rather, I really need to carry on going against Sunderland with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of credit for their positive outcomes because they clearly love to defy my predictions.
Considering Fulham's home form, the only team they have lost to is Arsenal. Marco Silva's team will be absolutely desperate for a good result, so I am going to predict they will secure three much-needed points.
The expert's prediction: 1-0
The guest's choice: I'm aware Sunderland are doing well and additionally that Fulham are on a poor streak... but Fulham have nonetheless been respectable at home this season. 2-0
AI's prediction: 2-0

It is a hard one to predict. The Reds have suffered seven of their last ten matches in every tournament, but could they be among the sides who benefit from the {international break|
